I'm a new writer for Suite 101 and am excited to have found a forum for my varied interest. This site is awesome.
I'm a partially retired acheologist with a background in the sciences. For many years I was a partner in an environmental consulting firm where my writing was technical and project oriented. I now have the opportunity to write about my special interests and look forward to sharing with curious readers.
My education credentials include a B.S. in Biology, minor Chemistry; an M.A. in Anthropology (Archeology), minor Environmental Studies; Ph.D. Anthropology (Archeology), minor Environmental Studies.
I have done archeological research in Spain, Mexico and many regions of the United States. My husband and I love to travel and have augmented our professional careers with extensive travel to archeological sites throughout North and South America and parts of the Old World.
A generalist at heart, I love to find intriguing topics, do research and write. Among my passions are hiking, canoeing, organic gardening and everything about the natural world.
